This upcoming title is set to be released in 2025, and it’s already generating a lot of buzz. So, grab your favorite snack (maybe some bacon soup?), and let’s explore what we know so far about this Dark Puddles adventure.
A New Chapter in the Franchise

The Bendy universe is expanding yet again with “Bendy: Lone Wolf.” This spin-off gives us the chance to experience Joey Drew Studios’ ink-stained world from a whole new angle—a thrilling, survival one.
Starring Boris the Wolf, this game promises fresh mechanics, a chilling psychological horror vibe, and enough pulse-pounding nightmares to keep you up (Steam). As far as lore, the game likely falls somewhere between “Bendy and the Dark Revival” and “Bendy on the Ink Machine.”.
From the trailer, it looks like we will get to see Bendy Land again as well as some kind of animatronic Boris. This could add so much to the lore and the Ink Machine universe. It seems we get another appearance of twisted Alice Angel in this iteration too.
A Bendy Game for Free?
With the announcement of the Bendy movie in the works and Bendy 3 being worked on, “Bendy: Lone Wolf” will serve as a continuation of the story to this mascot horror, much like the upcoming Bendy: The Cage will do or like Bendy: Secrets of the Machine did.
Also, as a Bendy game for free, according to a tweet, “Bendy: Lone Wolf” will be free if you own “Boris and the Dark Survival.”
Gameplay Mechanics

The game introduces roguelike gameplay into the franchise, switching up the first-person horror we’ve come to expect, such as in “Bendy and the Dark Revival.”
You explore randomly generated corridors as Boris, scavenging for supplies, setting traps, and engaging in strategic combat. The top-down perspective adds a fresh feel, but the relentless horror elements remain very much intact.
No longer will we be just dodging. Now we will need to fight for our and Boris’ survival (Joey Drew Studios).

The Enemies You’ll Face

From the twisted creations of the Dark Puddles to the ever-terrifying Ink Demon, the threats in this game demand strategy and bravery. Enemies teased were a four-legged inky spider with a wide mouth, similar to ones from Dark Revival, and the inky humanoid people.
As mentioned, there was what looked like an animatronic Boris. If true, that could suggest a lot in the story. However, when the Ink Demon’s beating heart echoes through the halls, your best option is to hide—or run like your life depends on it, because it does (Joey Drew Studios).
This reminds me of how I had to hide with Audrey to evade the Ink Demon. It’s cool how the game stays consistent with in-universe dynamics, with needing to avoid the Ink Demon.
